Same-Day Veneers in South Jordan, Utah
Teeth with esthetic imperfections can be corrected with veneers. At Copper Creek Dental, we aim to transform smiles in the South Jordan community as conveniently as possible. We house state-of-the-art technology that allows us to place radiant, beautiful, and durable dental veneers in a single appointment.
What Are Dental Veneers?
Dental veneers are thin tooth-shaped porcelain shells that are attached to the front surface of a tooth. They hide esthetic issues, such as chipped, cracked, misshapen, or discolored teeth. They can also close those dreaded black triangles that can form when gum tissues recede. While veneers are mostly used to improve the appearance of a tooth, they also help restore tooth function and prevent problems like chips and cracks from worsening. Properly shaped teeth help maintain better hygiene by limiting food impaction.
Traditional vs. Same-Day Veneers
Traditional veneers require at least two appointments because it can take several weeks to create the veneer in an off-site lab after preparing the tooth. Additionally, if the veneers are imperfect in any way when they come back, you’ll need to wait for another two weeks. This process can be tedious and frustrating, and the traditional temporary process can be painfully sensitive and socially awkward.
But we do things differently at Copper Creek Dental. We use in-house computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software and technology, which allows us to complete the entire process in one day.
We can prep and scan your tooth, then design, fabricate, adjust, and attach the veneer all in a single appointment. At the completion of your appointment, you get to see immediate results. If anything is not the way you envisioned, we make the necessary corrections that very same day.
What to Expect During the Procedure
First, we take a 3D scan of your mouth to ensure the veneer is the perfect shape and color to blend in with your existing teeth. There’s no need for messy, unpleasant, or potentially inaccurate molds of your teeth.
Then we send the digital impression to our CAD/CAM software, and your veneer is designed and milled right in our office while you catch up on your favorite Netflix series.
We prepare your tooth for the custom veneer by numbing the area and lightly shaving down the surface. Once the veneer is ready, we make the necessary final adjustments, then securely place the veneer on the affected tooth using bonding cement.
How Long Do Dental Veneers Last?
Every patient and their particular scenario is different. The factors leading to the decision to get veneers often play major factors into how long they will last. For instance, teeth that have been fractured from grinding will have a shorter expected lifespan. But veneers placed over miscolored teeth absent of cracking or wear can last indefinitely. As long as you take care of them, dental veneers can last many decades.
