Dental Implant Crowns in South Jordan, Utah

Dental implants are a long-lasting and durable solution to missing teeth. Implants with custom-made crowns fit your mouth with precision, so you can eat and speak more comfortably and confidently than with stock crowns.

At Copper Creek Dental, our advanced, in-house technology allows us to provide custom dental implant crowns that blend in with your smile seamlessly.

What Is a Custom Dental Implant Crown?

A traditional crown fits over a severely weakened tooth. An implant crown, however, is part of a dental implant. Implants replace a missing tooth with a titanium post that is surgically placed in the jaw and mimics a tooth root. The metal post attaches to a tooth-shaped crown that fills the gap left by the missing tooth.

Stock implants come with a limited range of shapes and sizes of crowns that may not fit accurately or stand out as replacement front teeth. But at Copper Creek Dental, we use superior technology to create a custom crown that is unique to you. We take a digital impression of your mouth to ensure an accurate fit, then design and fabricate the crown in-house.

The custom crown is colored and shaped to match your existing teeth and give you the most natural-looking smile possible. Your smile will also feel natural because implant crowns provide a more stable chewing surface than dentures or dental bridges.

How Is a Custom Implant Crown Placed?

Receiving custom dental implants requires multiple appointments. Your mouth will first need to be prepped for the implant, then the titanium post is surgically implanted into your jaw. Next, a temporary cap is placed over the implant while your jaw heals. After the healing process is complete and the implant has fused with the bone, the custom crown is finally cemented in place.

How to Care for Custom Dental Implant Crowns

Dental implants can last a lifetime as long as you take good care of them. Good oral hygiene is crucial in preventing implant failure, gum disease, and tooth decay in your remaining teeth.

Caring for your implants is as easy as taking care of your natural teeth. Brush both your existing teeth and custom implants twice a day, and floss once daily to eliminate bacteria from your mouth. You also need to return to our office at least twice a year for regular oral exams and teeth cleanings.
