Botox® and Lip Fillers in South Jordan, Utah

Botox® not only offers cosmetic benefits, but can also relieve the discomfort of certain dental conditions. At Copper Creek Dental in South Jordan, we offer more than just dental care. We earned certification from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) to perform safe and effective Botox® treatment. Our doctors are experienced in providing cosmetic Botox® injections, trigger point therapy, and lip fillers. Whether you’re looking to appear younger or find relief from facial pain, we’re here to help.

What Is Botox®?

Botox® is a neurotoxin made from the Botulinum toxin designed to interrupt signals from nerves that cause muscles to contract. Most people are familiar with Botox® as a cosmetic treatment that helps smooth wrinkles in the face. However, with trigger point therapy, Botox® can also help with the symptoms of various mouth and jaw issues.

In addition to offering cosmetic Botox® treatment, we also offer trigger point therapy to help patients find relief from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, teeth grinding (bruxism), improper bite (malocclusion), and more. Botox® can even help you comfortably adjust to a new pair of dentures.

When administered by a professional, Botox® is a completely safe treatment. You should see results within two weeks, and can expect them to last for three to four months.

Botox® and Lip Fillers

Botox® can also help make your lips appear fuller without actually making them bigger. Botox® is injected at the corners of the mouth and around the edges to relax the muscles, making the lip flip slightly upward and look fuller.

But if you want that extra volume, dermal fillers can be injected into the lips to immediately make them physically fuller. Using dermal fillers in conjunction with Botox® allows for a more prominent lip lift. Whether you use Botox®, lip fillers, or both, the process is more affordable and the results are much more natural looking than plastic surgery.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Botox®?

Botox® is an excellent option for those looking for a non-surgical way to improve their appearance or relieve certain dental condition symptoms. You may be a good candidate for Botox® if you are in good physical health and under the age of 50. People with nerve disorders, chronic muscle conditions, and skin sensitivities should not use Botox®.

If you’re looking to get rid of wrinkles, keep in mind that Botox® only works on wrinkles triggered by using muscles, such as smiling or frowning, not wrinkles that are always apparent.
